Paris Photo’s 2026 edition is scheduled for November 12–15 at the Grand Palais in Paris. The fair’s official programme brings together photography galleries, publishers and public discussions, offering a view of photographs as physical objects as well as images on a screen.
Photography history meets contemporary work
The organiser describes a presentation drawn from the Centre Pompidou collection to mark photography’s bicentenary. It brings together about one hundred works by nearly thirty artists around three themes: making images, infinity and identities. The programme also includes the Elles × Paris Photo initiative, curated this year by Aldeide Delgado.
For photographers, these are opportunities to study how a sequence, print size or installation changes the reading of a picture. A framed photograph, a page spread and a digital presentation can communicate very different things even when the source image is the same.
Tickets and access
The official ticket page lists online booking and notes that a guided-tour ticket does not itself include admission to the fair. Visitors should check the current access instructions, ticket conditions and bag restrictions before travelling. The public fair dates differ from the November 11 vernissage.
Make a focused viewing plan
Our practical suggestion is to select a small number of galleries or publishers in advance, leave time for unexpected discoveries and record the names of works you want to revisit. Ask permission before photographing displays and follow each exhibitor’s instructions.
